ABOUT IACT
The Idaho Association of County Treasurers (IACT) was formed in 1927. Our membership includes 44 elected County Treasurers, who also serve as ex-Officio Tax Collectors, ex-officio Public Administrators, representing each of the 44 Idaho Counties.
The Administrative Board consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Parliamentarian, Historian and the immediate Past President. Officers of the Administrative Board are elected at the IACT Annual Conference held each August. Various committees are appointed by the President to maintain research, education, uniformity, and coordination among member Treasurers, so that we may better serve the taxpayers and citizens of Idaho.
The Association is governed by our Constitution and By-Laws to provide management and organization of our ongoing operation.
Meetings are held annually to conduct Association business. During these annual meetings and twice a year, in conjunction with the Idaho Association of Counties meetings, we attend educational and training seminars designed to improve our skills in the statutory duties and responsibilities of the position we hold as Elected Officials, as well as training in personnel issues and general office functions. The annual meeting locations alternate among the six Idaho districts around the state, on a pre-designated schedule.
